Transforming lives, so you can change the world.
Contrary to what social media, or even what recent medical literature may tell you, there is no perfect breast size. Each person has a unique shape and contour of the breast and body. Sometimes the breasts fit the body. Sometimes they don't. As plastic surgeons, we can improve upon the contours and proportions of our patients.
In cases where the breasts are too large or droopy, a breast reduction may be extremely helpful.
These patients are some of the happiest that we see because they suffer from many issues. Some problems related to oversized breasts and sagging breasts include: back pain, neck pain, shoulder grooving, fatigue, among others.
Additionally, large breasts or extra weight can interfere with activities of a healthy lifestyle. They can get in the way of working out, running, lifting, yoga, pilates or other sports.
If a breast reduction, or reduction mammoplasty, is something you have been considering, we hope to meet you soon.
Dr. Lemelman operates at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center to ensure the best outcome for each patient.
During your consultation, we will discuss your symptoms and the reasons why a breast reduction may improve your life. Dr. Lemelman will take photographs and measurements to submit to your insurance provider. Sometimes, a breast reduction may be covered by one's insurance. Other times it's not covered.
Additional procedures, like liposuction or other body contouring techniques, are not covered by insurance.
